A note from our Founder and President…
I get asked many times why I got into this business – and here’s the condensed version:
Truth be told, originally it was just something I learned I was good at. I started off with no real background or education, just a “knack” for technical things and logical thinking. Over the years, I’ve acquired many skills and lessons learned, but the one thing that has remained the same is passion. I’ve always endeavored to educate and protect those organizations I supported, but most of the time it fell on deaf ears.
Working in various roles I had been exposed to NIST and DFARS; but was never really given the opportunity to really learn the requirements, what it meant to those organizations who it applied to, or how it impacted the contract data it applied to.
Fast forward to 2019, I became aware of CMMC and it called out to me. It appeared to hit most, or all, things I had been previously advising should be done to protect a company, their data, the government and our nation’s security.
The next two and a half years were a rebirth for me as a person, business owner, and consultant. I’ve focused my business around educating organizations about compliance and protecting their data, people, and stakeholders.
